Each project comprises three key components, namely Targeted Savings, Personal Development Plan and Mentorship. These components are designed to broaden our children's horizons, enhance their abilities and personal qualities, as well as enrich their social experiences over a course of three years.
The CDF project operators provide training and guidance on topics such as financial planning, communications skills, life planning, etc., to children, their parents and mentors to facilitate the completion of each component and help cultivate a supportive environment for the children's personal development.
The Labour and Welfare Bureau also organises value-added activities from time to time to widen participants' horizons and enrich their knowledge. These activities include visits and events which allow participants to gain insight into different industries and professions, and have the opportunities to explore interests in art, music and cultures.
